Are Viking shields allowed?
Viking shields are not permitted in the 2025 events. That is not to say we won't run an event in the future which they could be used in. For all 2025 events large shields must be secured with arm straps as opposed to a central hold.
Are Roman shields allowed?
Roman shields are not permitted in the 2025 events. That is not to say we won't run an event in the future which they could be used in.
Are Basket hilted broad swords allowed
At this moment in time for these events, this sword is not permitted. This is due to safety reasons. The parameters of the blades generally make this a much harder hitting weapon than those they would be wielded against. This is not to say they would not be considered in future events, but they are excluded for all 2025 events.
Is a Targe allowed?
Targe are permitted in events where a Rotella is permitted.
Is a plastic Tallahof allowed?
TBC. This is under consideration, please check back.
Should I enter the team event separately or together?
If you have a team mate lined up then please enter once as a team. Only one fighter needs to enter selecting the team option (£40). The cost is for both fighters. Please enter the name of your team mate on the booking form at check out.
If you would like to enter but don't have a partner in mind, please select the solo entrant and you will be paired up on the day. In the event there are not enough people to pair you up, your entry fee will be refunded.
